Makoto Nakai Confirms Early Retirement

The team's Japanese defender, Makoto Nakai confirms today that he will be retiring from playing football after a long term injury that he obtain last year. After only two season with the team since he was brought in from Lanun FC, he has been superb in becoming one of the pillars supporting the defensive walls. Although he has retired, he has no reason to quit the footballing arena and currently he is assisting the 'Silau' in some of the matches.
"I will not be able to play anymore, but I will do my best in helping the team. Maybe someday I will be back on the pitch. Who knows, time will tell," said the ex-defender.

Game On!, SDX Are Confident

The annual MMU Cup 08 will be held starting this 19th November; consisting 16 teams playing-tackling-scoring their sweats to reach glory. As usual, SDX FC lead by skipper Avicenna are confident that they are confident enough to win the cup. With Rio Fernadeemd on loan to a recently established-high paid salary-team FireFlame FC and Ryan Izmie Giggs loaned to Seryes FC, the 'Silau' have to organize back their unstoppable wall and this may cost their title. However, the return of Zul-Ka Modric has given the team a reason to smile.
"Not having Nadeem and MieMie (Izmie) is gonna be tough, but I have my full confidence of my team. Wait and see," said skipper Avicenna.
"I know I'm not always around, but I'll give my best for the team," commented Zul-Ka Modric.
Most of the player have reported in yesterday and SDX FC will have a warm-up friendly against ENF XI this 22nd on their home ground.

Imando Torres: "We Will Bounce Back"

Midfielder Imando Torres has insisted that SDX will recover from Friday's disappointing defeat at Phlamze. The Silaus went down 3-1 at MMUField and are now three points behind in the race for the League title. The attacking midfielder admits that the squad were frustrated to have dropped points at the start of the season, but expects there to be many more twists and turns before the campaign comes to a close in 4 games time.
"Experience tells you that other teams are going to drop points between now and the end of the season," the Spanish international told the SDX news team.
"Whether you're going for the league or the Champions League, teams will drop points and it's how you compose yourselves when you drop those points and how you bounce back that's the true measure. Yes, we're hurting, but next weekend brings a whole new batch of fixtures," he added more.
"We've got a game against Soccer Kidz, so it's about what we do and how we bounce back. There's still a lot of football to go and the good thing is that we still have the chance to finish top of the table."

Gaffer Urges Team To Stay Fit

SDX FC's Manager, Encik Shuk urges his team to stay fit and out of injury as a preparation for the incoming Division 2 matches. After a 'satisfying' performance last playoff shows that his team fitness level is still below average and it is worrying the MMULeague runners-up to show a consistent match. After a doubtful return for Owen 'Gaf'greaves, who still in approving his visa and the return of not-so-fit striker Alan Fahsmith also injury woe from graceful midfielder Imando Torres, the manager has his fingers crossed before the Division 2 starts.
"They have to keep fit, and stay out of injuries. No more gluttoning or couch potato-ing. Slampuck (Gallas), Fahsmith must stay fit and I'm not so worried about others," said Encik Shuk.

SDX Misses Owen 'Gaf'greaves, Fahsmith, LomaKaka

The absentees of few players last playoff are really meaningful as they play a very huge role in the teams' overall performance last Friday. 'Hard-as-steel' holding midfielder, Gaf was unable to play since his visa had expired recently and needs time to approval from the FA. Striker Alan Fahsmith, who was unhappy during loaned for Lanun FC, desires to be with SDX and play on top league again.
"Right now we are opting 4-5-1. With Fahsmith returning home, the usual 4-4-2 will be used again...maybe, if he is in top form. He's a valuable support striker that can only be in par with our Reyzwan," said Assistant Manager, Raul 'Chapan' Gonzales who was unavailable in the playoffs due to personal matters.
Besides that, SDX FC has recall back versatile midfielder, LomaKaka to return to the team as his future with Lanun FC is currently in discussion.

'Boy' Grosso, Robbie Van Bayie in talks with SDX
Former Kayu FC wingback-foward Boy Grosso and Seryes FC Robbie Van Bayie has been in talks in joining the 'Silau' on their next season quest. Boy's agent is still discussing on the matter as he still has his commitment for his current team. Talks with Van Bayie however has come to an agreement on his transfer fees and his weekly income. The contract with him will be finalized after he returns from France on a holiday.
"Boy (Grosso) will be important in strengthening the defense as well as helping on attacking. He is hardworking player. Bayie is a superb foward. He can be a support striker as well as attacking midfielder. I watched both of this players on the field and they never fail to impress me," commented Encik Shuk.
"I can't wait for Bayie to return and play with us. I've known him since our days in Seryes and he is talented," said Ryan 'Izmie' Giggs.
SDX FC has signed Nadeem last season and recently loaned Akaboshi Taka.

Fan'Torres'tic! Spectacular!

SDX FC merge their way through the playoffs after defeating BabyGebu FC in penalty shootout after booth teams could not find a sole winner later this evening. Both teams played hard and throughout the game, 'Silau' and BabyGebu canceled each other with fierce tackles and possession control making SDX FC's defence breakout a lot of sweat and midfielders controlling the centre area for the foward to score. SDX started with a different formation of 4-3-2-1 with 'Joe'vier Macherano and Med'Zerol'der on center and Zarob Puyol and Cacai Pirlo both on the left and right. Midfields consists of versatile 'Bermuda Triangle'; Nadeem, long-lost Zul K and Ryan 'Izmie' Giggs, and Reyzwan and Samir 'Yas'ri on wide. Avicenna however played as top striker.
In the 1st half, it was 50-50 as Yas, Avi and Reyzwan all nearly found an early lead. Unfortunately, the keeper's agility and superb defending denied them. After 25minutes of gameplay, Encik Shuk made a surprising change by substituting Cacai Pirlo and Zarob Puyol with RizalRafdi and Moonz. As the game progressed, BabyGebu found the net by a misjudged timing from 'Joe'vier Macherano who was unable to fall back after a unlucky miss pass. Highly rated keeper, Cyber was helpless and the team was trailed 0-1.
2nd half brings in Imando Torres who just arrived after beating Russia; replacing Samir 'Yas'ri, Avicenna exchange position with Reyzwan. SDX made a lot of attacking resulted from great possession from the 'Bermuda Triangle'. 15minutes as the game started, an unusual spectacular lob from Zul K found Imando Torres on the corner of the penalty box who gave a 1st timer-volley and rammed the opponents goal. A few changes made after that as Avicenna gives way for newly signed King, Yus for Moonz, Slampuck Gallas for RizalRafdi and finally Akaboshi Taka for Izmie Giggs. Both teams fight to the end and unlucky for 'Joe'vier as he was rewarded a yellow card for beautifully-but-dangerous tackle. Without any added goals brings to the penalty shootout.
Reyzwan, Imando Torres, Nadeem, Zerol and King were the takers having all of them scored except Zerol. However the quick reaction from Cyber saved an important penalty and having the goal post to thank after BabyGebu's penalty missed.
"It was nerve-wrecking. I thought my heart skipped a beat," said the Gaffer after King perfectly settle the penalty shootout.
"It was a tough match. We made it. I'm happy and proud of my team," he added.
Assistant2 Manager, Makoto Nakai did not commented on anything as his face told everything.
"We need a new kit, seriously!" jokes Avicenna and the rest of the team after the game.

Full Frontal Force!

SDX FC will be up against BabyGebu FC today; one of the hardest team around for their first play-off. The 'Silau' is expected to use a possession type 4-5-1 formation with the possible combination of Moonz, 'Joe'vier Mascherano, Bagok and Ryan 'Izmie' Giggs. In the midfield area, a few changes have been made since last season's line-up whereby Nadeem, last tournament's centreback will be paired with latest signing King, Avicenna and Imando Torres (who will take a flight straight from Switzerland after his Euro Game) on both wing and Samir 'Yas'ri will be on free role behind the unrivalled-fast-paced striker Reyzwan. However, the true line-up will be revealed today evening.
"We are in high spirits right now. I wish all the best and the players are having their physical and mental rest," said Encik Shuk who currently delighted with his team's performance.
"BabyGebu is a strong opponent. We can't be careless in each area," commented Makoto Nakai, who will be unavailable due to 6.30-7.30pm duty.

Lanun's Manager sacked? Loaned player unhappy
LomaKaka, Lanun FC manager maybe sacked after a under par performance by his team after loosing 1-3 on their play-offs yesterday. A 'should-must' win game come to a halt after the opponent manage to overturn the result. However, SDX FC is still calling LomaKaka as he is proven valuable to the team.
Loaned player from SDX FC Alan Fahsmith is quite unhappy after his questionable performance under the wings of Lanun FC during the play-off. After only being played on the second half without not having much to show, Fahsmith wanted to return back to SDX FC as soon as possible.

The 'Tri-Back Wonderwall'

'Silau' added their clean sheet tally as they won 2-0 against Wattan FC this Saturday evening. Both fabulous goals are from Wing Back Ryan 'Izmie' Giggs and the fast-footed Striker Reyzwan Kacak and both of them are assisted by Joevier Mascherano. As SDX FC started the game with only 11 people on the field, newly appointed Assistant-assistant Manager Makoto Nakai gambled by using a 3-6-1 formation. Bagok, Moonz and Joevier act as the team's so called 'Trio Wonderwall' proven to be unbreakable and stood tall as the game progressed. Skipper Avicenna and Ryan 'Izmie' Giggs are the most tiring people on the field with their non-stop overlapping. With two Defensive Midfielders and Reyzwan as a lone striker, the 1st half shows the more possession football by the team and later in the 2nd half, the team made a minor change by using a 3-5-2 formation whereby Samir 'Yas'ri act as a free role. There are a lot of chances made throughout the game and some graceful movements by infamous Imando Torres.
"It was a good game, I have to take my chances using a possession type of formation. It has its minor flaws in it, but I'm sure we can improve," said Makoto Nakai.
The 'Silau' will face Lopong FC tomorrow but as the team needs to have enough rest to play the tomorrow's game.

SDX FC has officially called upon SDX FC's Makoto Nakai to be the team's Assistant-assistant Manager; helping both Encik Shuk and Raul 'Chapan' Gonzales. SDX news team wishes him the best in his new job.

Rain, Sweat and Tears

SDX FC advances to the next round after beating MMUstaff FC in a penalty shoot-out. The game was a stalemate after 90 minutes of gameplay without extra-time or silver goal. SDX FC who started out controlling the match nearly found the net twice thanks to a swift movement by Imando Torres and Reyzwan; which was inches wide. The 4-2-2-1-1 which was decided by Assistant Manager, Raul Chapan Gonzales who replaced Encik Shuk due to unforeseen circumstances; had most of the control on the wide side of the field, and a strong combination of defensive wall by the midfielder and the back-four. At the end of the first half, Imando Torres once again had a golden opportunity after found the keeper off position to score and found the opponents defense dived to save in the nick of time. Reyzwan who decided to take responsible for the penalty only to able to convert the ball past the goal post.
As second half started, SDX FC could not gain advantage with the 10-men opponents and had begin to loose most of the ball having them to work hard to defend themselves. The attacking side has lose its sharpness and could not found any chances to score. As the final whistle blows, Reyzwan, Padil, Fahsmith, Bagok and Rio Nadeem decided to take the shoot-out. Each of them scored as the opponents took the last shoot wide.
"We lost composure on the second half, we didn't control the ball in the middle. Luckily we won," commented the Centreback, Rio Nadeem.
"It was a tiring game, everyone plays hard, giving 100%," added Jovier Mascherano.
Assistant Manager who was the key to the team caught weeping tears of joy congratulates the team and their efforts in this quaterfinal match.
"We need more sharpness on the attacking side. We couldn't rely only on luck," said AviCenna.

It's Raining For SDX

SDX tasted their first defeat after losing to top seeded Victory FC last Sunday with only goal conceded in the very last minute of the game disappointed most of the die-hard fans who came that day. Without their top-overrated striker, Rewan who was on national duty that day has brought a tremendous disadvantage for the team as their lost most of their attacking power. The arrival of newly-wed striker, Toopaiard and robust defender Zarob Puyol who came back from the election campaign however is just not enough to turn the tables around.
The 'Silau' who got most of the possession in the middle could not break through the 'stamina-of-a-horse' defenders of the opponent team even though the combination of Imando Torres and other midfielders working superbly. The defenders of SDX however have a very hard and rough time as their defence wall kept collapsing due to swift through passes and 'long-legs-pace' of the opponent teams. As it started to rain during the second half, Victory FC found an opportunity and strike well to score their only goal.
"We've lost. Both in stamina and gameplay. They did very wall confusing our defence but it's not over. We will win the rest of the game. Rest assured," said the Gaffer, Encik Shuk.
"It's a tough match," says the central-defence, Nadeem.

A Cruise Victory For SDX, Manager Satisfied

SDX FC started their MMU Champions League with a first win against La Resistance last Super Sunday. A 2-o win thanks to currently on form Imando Torres in the 50th minute and Reza added salt to the opponent's wound by netting another goal 1o minutes later. Both beautiful-yet-lucky goals scored by the team were caused by the goalkeeper's error has given SDX a three points in their group. During the 1st half, the overall gameplay was quite dull with no control over possession and lack of shoots on goal. Defensive walls are loose causing the opponent have chances to attack but most of them were canceled out by the centrebacks.Newly signed centerback, Nadeem stole the moment after nearly scored a goal from half the field. 1o minutes before the game ended, Manager decided on substituting four of their players hoping for an improvement in the game.
Second half shows tremendous change in the team after Manager gambled and changed four of their substitutes to opt for more attacking side. The team connected well with each other and more shoots were made until they were awarded with two 'beautiful' goals.
"I am happy for this win thanks to the players. Although we lost our tempo due to a lot of laughing on the field, we finally get our rhythm back," commented the Manager, Encik Shuk.
"Two more goals and I'll be on par with Avi!" said Imando Torres after the game.

Side stories during the game?
Top striker, Reyzwan denied that he has been 'Jersey-cursed' after not able to score during his first match. He promised to the team that he will improve on his upcoming game. After the game has ended, skipper Avi Cenna made a 'unintentional-censored statement' by wanting to hold Slampuck Gallas ball out loud. This made quite a minor havoc whereby he was actually referring to the team's lucky silver and orange-lined Nike football.

'Silau' Seizes Pirates Treasure

A massive 6-2 win against FC LanunReturn proves that SDX FC have not yet lost its fangs. Under the bright lights of Putrajaya Stadium last weekend, this was their largest win for this year after loosing 3-6 with Malacca Allstarz a few weeks before. In addition, this was their first match this year playing during the chilly night. FC LanunReturn who was not on full squad and had to loan some of the most expensive players looked promising to give SDX FC a competitive match. Throughout the game, SDX FC's defense was inpenetratable and most of the chances were utilized perfectly by the fowards although some of them were wasted. Perfect combination and communication between Imando Torres, Avi Cenna, Alan Fahsmith and also Reyzwan created most of the opportunities that lead to the win. The frequently Missing-In-Action centreback Zul K was the star for that night as he performed above par in both defensing and attacking part that created a superb goal.
"I am so happy to see my team perform very well. This is what I wanted!" said Gaffer, Encik Shuk.
"We played well, both defense and offense. But we need to improve more for the next match," commented the skipper, Avi Cenna.
Midfielder Jo, who was rumored to be injured and could not play made a cameo appearance that night playing for a mere 10 minutes after the Manager saw him unfit and replaced him.

Worst Blunder of the Match: Rizalrafdi
Man Of The Match: Zul K

I spy with my two eyes...future signings?
During the match, Manager Encik Shuk has shown some interest in some of the players from FC LanunReturn after watching the whole match. However, he did not state which players that he is interested with and will be updated soon.

Malacca Allstars To Challege SDX FC

SDX FC will be visited by Malacca Allstars for their upcoming match this Sunday morning, playing on their home turf. Most of the players are in high spirits since their lost last week against Nadeem AllStarz and a win is a must to bounce back their downward performance a few weeks ago. Without centreback cum defensive midfielder, Slampuck Gallas who will be away for a wedding ceremony, Andrea 'Cacai' Pirlo for overtime office work and highly-rated defender, Zarob Puyol who is preparing for his transfer. Graceful midfielder Imando Torres will be leading the attacking side for the team with K.Eckham and skipper Avi Cenna by his side. Japanese centreback Nakai will be back after a long-term injury and maybe benched since he is not 100% match-fit.
"I wish for the best for my team, we must win this match as it will be a good 'angpow' for us all. The main problem is that players always tend to oversleep and come late when it comes to morning match," said the skipper.
"No nasi lemak, no curry what-so-ever please. I don't want my players to have stomach cramps on the field. Humiliating," urged Gaffer, Encik Shuk.

Congratulations For SDX FC! (...finally...)

After few weeks without any news update the 'Silau' fans and board finally have something to celebrate. Since their winning drought after losing a lot of matches, SDX FC have at last found their form back after winning gloriously against highly-rated Rovers FC and a respectable draw against Indonesia. New loans and transfers have been made; hopefully will make a surprising change to the team performance. SDX FC news room also congratulate the players for the beautiful performance and hoping for an uprising form in the next matches.

Final match for Centreback Nakai
This coming Saturday will be the last game for the team's number 26, after his knee injury has not yet recovered completely since the clash between SDX FC and Seryes FC last month. The team's physio confirm that Makoto Nakai will have to undergo a knee surgery and hoping to recover at least two months (not including therapy). The centerback wishes to play for his last game this saturday although he is not advised to by the medical team but the strong witted, hard-headed player wanted to play so badly after missing three matches already.
"He is risking his knee, as well as his career. We cannot do anything if that is what he wanted."
The opponent against SDX FC will be confirmed lately by tomorrow.

"All Of You Are PIGS!"

SDX FC's Gaffer Encik Shuk was fuming mad after his team lost again yesterday by favorite sparring team, Jln6 FC. The 0-2 means that this is the fourth consecutive defeat they had and this have been giving Encik Shuk a terrible headache. Watching his players (besides taking pictures) on the pitch; without possession in the middle, failing to find the net, and loose defense made the Gaffer cursed his own players throughout the entire match. During the 1st half, SDX FC nearly found the next from the likes of Imando Torres from a superb skill passed the opponents defense but a poor finishing stop him from scoring a goal. Careless defense from the 1st half, Jln6 FC breakthrough SDX FC's offside trap manage to find an easy goal. Although on the 2nd half, SDX FC's performance was better, but it was too late and Jln6 FC found their second goal.
"I don't know what happened to us. We've lost our tempo as if we're being cursed. Maybe this is the curse of 'The-unpaid-jersey'!. We need to streghten our defense and we need goals," commented Encik Shuk right after the match.
"I think they played well on the 2nd half. Defense are much more stronger. We shouldn't waste the ball especially during set pieces," Nakai added after watching the match from the bench seat.

Happy (?-years old) birthday to Raul 'Chapan' Gonzales
SDX FC news team and players wishing striker Raul 'Chapan' Gonzales happy birthday and wishing him all the best in life. (Hopefully he scores goals too)

KakaFace: "Pay Up!"

International Midfielder, KakaFace today urged his teammates to pay up for the jersey they had taken early this season. Issues on players that have not paid for the 'Silau' kit angers the midfielder forcing him to go on a diet, hence effected his game on the pitch. Players that have not paid for it is still in search and will be updated soon.
"How can we afford for next season's kit when you all cannot pay for a single kit?" backs the skipper AviCenna.
"Please pay up. Pity him (KakaFace)," added Fahsmith.
Hopefully this issue can be settled before the next season starts.
