Makoto Nakai Confirms Early Retirement

The team's Japanese defender, Makoto Nakai confirms today that he will be retiring from playing football after a long term injury that he obtain last year. After only two season with the team since he was brought in from Lanun FC, he has been superb in becoming one of the pillars supporting the defensive walls. Although he has retired, he has no reason to quit the footballing arena and currently he is assisting the 'Silau' in some of the matches.
"I will not be able to play anymore, but I will do my best in helping the team. Maybe someday I will be back on the pitch. Who knows, time will tell," said the ex-defender.

Game On!, SDX Are Confident

The annual MMU Cup 08 will be held starting this 19th November; consisting 16 teams playing-tackling-scoring their sweats to reach glory. As usual, SDX FC lead by skipper Avicenna are confident that they are confident enough to win the cup. With Rio Fernadeemd on loan to a recently established-high paid salary-team FireFlame FC and Ryan Izmie Giggs loaned to Seryes FC, the 'Silau' have to organize back their unstoppable wall and this may cost their title. However, the return of Zul-Ka Modric has given the team a reason to smile.
"Not having Nadeem and MieMie (Izmie) is gonna be tough, but I have my full confidence of my team. Wait and see," said skipper Avicenna.
"I know I'm not always around, but I'll give my best for the team," commented Zul-Ka Modric.
Most of the player have reported in yesterday and SDX FC will have a warm-up friendly against ENF XI this 22nd on their home ground.

Imando Torres: "We Will Bounce Back"

Midfielder Imando Torres has insisted that SDX will recover from Friday's disappointing defeat at Phlamze. The Silaus went down 3-1 at MMUField and are now three points behind in the race for the League title. The attacking midfielder admits that the squad were frustrated to have dropped points at the start of the season, but expects there to be many more twists and turns before the campaign comes to a close in 4 games time.
"Experience tells you that other teams are going to drop points between now and the end of the season," the Spanish international told the SDX news team.
"Whether you're going for the league or the Champions League, teams will drop points and it's how you compose yourselves when you drop those points and how you bounce back that's the true measure. Yes, we're hurting, but next weekend brings a whole new batch of fixtures," he added more.
"We've got a game against Soccer Kidz, so it's about what we do and how we bounce back. There's still a lot of football to go and the good thing is that we still have the chance to finish top of the table."
